This is a time for new beginnings....for beautiful flowers....warmer weather....and especially, Easter! I am so thankful that my parents shared with me (and encouraged me) to know the true meaning of Easter. It's obviously not just about the Easter bunny, egg hunts, and candy. Jesus died on the cross, and rose from the grave.... so that I could be spared from a life eternally separated from HIM. I am so incredibly thankful and filled with joy for this reason! I cannot even begin to imagine a life here on earth especially, without Jesus in my day. I rely on Him for everything! He alone is my source of joy and happiness.
My little ones still think that Easter is about getting Easter eggs and candy and visiting the bunny at the mall. I have been teaching them about the true reason why we celebrate... and I know that they will eventually, fully understand what this wonderful day is all about. I look forward to that awesome day, when they accept Christ into their hearts... and I have complete peace that they will share eternity with Jesus. Our job as parents is an extremely important one, not just physically protecting them, but spiritually as well. It won't just happen on it's own, without alot of hard work and dedication from us. I am thankful that the Lord entrusted ME to be the one to raise my children to know Him. I am looking forward to Easter and hope that YOU will have a blessed one as well :)
